From July 29 to August 9, the capital of Kazakhstan will host an international multisport tournament in the phygital format. This is a competition where the digital part merges with the physical: participants first battle in a virtual environment and then meet on a real-world playing field. The program includes 8 disciplines: Phygital Football Phygital Basketball Phygital Dancing Phygital Shooter Battle Royale MOBA PC MOBA Mobile Phygital Fighting For us, the Phygital Shooter discipline is especially important. This is a direction where digital combat is combined with physical gameplay on a laser tag arena. This is where laser tag becomes part of the sport of the future: not just entertainment, but a full-fledged competitive discipline at the intersection of technology, strategy, and physical activity. The tournament will bring together athletes from different countries, with a total prize pool of over $4 million. The competitions will take place at Astana's largest sports venues, including Barys Arena, BEELINE ARENA, the Qazaqstan Sports Complex, and the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. The "Games of the Future" showcase what next-generation sports can look like: reaction speed, strategy, teamwork, physical fitness, and technology are all equally important here.
