Different generations of LASERWAR are in one game? Yes!

In laser tag clubs and arenas, it often happens that the previous generation of equipment meets the new one on the same playing field.

You shouldn’t worry, in this case, the game will continue without interruption.

The kits from the 2nd to the 11th generation are fully compatible in gameplay: defeats are counted, additional equipment works, scenarios are launched.

However, there is one important thing with the statistics.

Offline statistics are available in the LASERTAG CONFIGURATOR app, and online and offline statistics are available in the LASERWAR CONFIGURATOR X-GEN and ALPHATAG SERVER apps. The apps are available for PC, Android, and iOS.

When playing on Gen 4–9 hardware, statistics are fully readable. However, when modern generations (v.10 X-GEN and v.11 ALPHATAG) are added to the game, full statistics are no longer available.

We will tell you about the “Digital Flag” feature separately. Six device scenarios are compatible with any generation hardware. However, the main “Digital Flag” scenario is designed for hardware not lower than the 8th generation.

The firmware of all devises must support the operation of the “Digital Flag”.

Important: both online and offline games require at least two “flags”.

Before playing a mixed game, we recommend taking into account the limitations on statistics and individual functions.

As a result, different generations of LASERWAR coexist perfectly! Updating your equipment doesn’t turn your older kits into museum pieces.
