LASERWAR devices withstand extreme conditions. But there are certain rules of operation, which apply to all equipment.

ALL gaming sets must be kept in a dry, heated room at a temperature from +5 to +35 °C and average humidity is not more than 60%.

The equipment must be stored only in a charged state (perfect – at the rated voltage of the battery).

P.S. If you are not sure that you can fix the problems all by yourself, then contact the managers for additional advice.

I. WEATHER CONDITIONS

We strongly do not recommend using the equipment in the rain and at temperatures below -20 °C.

Avoid getting moisture inside the layout. If it has happened – stop using it, dry the equipment at room temperature for at least 2 hours.

Moisture can ruin any electronic device. Despite the fact, that all electronic boards are varnished on both sides, we do not recommend playing in rainy weather.

Electronics treats snow rather indifferently, but it is necessary to remember the following: snow gets clogged into all sorts of technological holes, which can lead to unstable operation of the equipment.

Snow itself is not dangerous as water which appears after it melts. Therefore after carrying the device to the warm place let it dry for at least 2 hours.

Under no condition you can immediately put the equipment on charge, that was used at low temperatures. It is necessary to allow the electronics to warm up and dry the condensate that has arisen during a sharp change in weather conditions.

II. BATTERIES

Lithium batteries are used as a power source in gaming kits. To recharge them, you only need to use a universal Li+ automatic charger.

Lithium battery (Li+):

"Smart Li+" and "Li+" chargers:

First of all, you need to connect the charger to the equipment, and then to the network.

The charging process is marked with a special indicator. If the battery is low – the LED lights red, the green light means that the battery is full.

Attention! You must charge the devices right after operation  and under constant supervision at an ambient temperature of at least 0 °C for not more than 2 hours.

Remember the simple rule: batteries discharge twice as fast in the cold.

BRANDED CHARGERS "SPIDER" AND "FIREFLY"

"Firefly" and "Spider" are a great alternative to "single-tail" charging, which saves space, does not get tangled in wires and does not overload the mains filter. They can charge 6 game sets at once.

"Spider" and "Firefly" protect the battery from overcharging, incomplete charge, overheating.

The Firefly is designed to recharge ONLY SRGB bandages. We use a visual display system in the equipment line. The LEDs used in the charger and SCART RGB band will tell the user when the equipment is ready for game fights.

It is convenient to use the "Firefly": connect it to an outlet through the power cord, press the power button, connect the head bandage.

IMPORTANT: there is also an LED on the bandages. If this LED blinks orange or green at the time of charging, then charging is still in progress. The bandage is ready for use when the LED on the bandage starts to glow green all the time.

BUT on the Firefly charging device, the LED will turn green much earlier. If you pick up the head bandage at this moment, the battery charge will remain incomplete. Pay attention to the indicators on the bandage.

The Spider charger does not charge RGB head bands of the 9th and 10th generation!

The Spider device is designed for simultaneous charging of 6 bandages (up to and including 8th generation) or LASERWAR laser tag game kits.

The length of the charging wire is 1.5 meters, the charger itself is connected to a 220 V outlet through a classic computer power plug used for home PCs and monitors.

We want to draw your attention one more time,

that the Firefly is designed specifically for recharging Smart RGB headbands. Smart RGB headbands do not charged with Spider!

For safety reasons, we strongly recommend that you do not leave charging equipment unattended.

ALPHATAG: CHARGING BATTERIES

ALPHATAG is an 11th generation electronics platform from LASERWAR, which went on sale in early 2021. The appearance of the Alphatag is associated with going beyond the hardware and software limitations inherent in the technical solutions of previous generations.

The transition to a new element base led to a decrease in the supply voltage, respectively, to the use of new batteries.

Attention! Lithium batteries (Li+) with a voltage of 3.7V are designed for use in Alphatag v.1 platform equipment manufactured before July 2022.

Since July 2022, the Alphatag version v.2 has been released with 7.4V batteries. Before buying a battery, find out which type you need!

Attention! Please note that:

Lithium batteries for Alphatag v.1 are charged ONLY with FIREFLY or LI+ chargers.

Charging must be carried out under constant supervision.

Attempts to charge with other chargers will cause permanent damage to the battery!

ALPHATAG: CHARGING BANDAGES

The charge level of the Alpha head bandage is displayed on the screen. An "empty" battery on the screen means that the battery needs to be charged.

While charging the battery indicator blinks. When the head bandage is ready for use, the battery indicator is constantly seen.

DANGEROUS LIFE HACK – TURN OFF TAGGERS TO SAVE CHARGING

There is no need to turn off the taggers and bandages in between rounds. Such manipulations create conditions for the formation of condensate: when the equipment is turned off, it begins to cool down, the so-called "dew point effect" appears.

Thanks to the protective film, which is applied by our specialists to electronic boards, devices are protected from short circuits during operation.

But the general principle sounds like this: the fewer on/off switches, the more reliable and longer the electronic components will work.

OPERATION OF BANDAGES AND VESTS

When using bandages, attention should be paid to the need to use special hygienic cuffs that protect electronic components from moisture. The cuffs consist of two layers.

Air Mesh – the first layer, its fabric consist of a three-dimensional netting, forming cells of different sizes in the outer and inner layers. Such construction provides endurance constant air circulation, gives shock-absorbing properties, which makes the fabric an ideal material for use in places where it is necessary to reduce physical stress and friction without loss of strength.

Second layer is a styrofoam substrate that prevents moisture from entering the outer part of the bandage, keeping electronics, special fabric dry and clean.

Unloading vests and RPS vests are equipped with a removable breathable lining made of three-layer Air Mesh material. The lining is made in a single color scheme of the vest, it is easy to remove for washing and permanently solves the problem of ammunition sweating after the game.

You need to be attentive hygiene issues. After each game, we recommend washing the hygienic cuffs of the bandages.

We also advice to buy or to make additional cuffs yourself: you may need several pieces per one gaming day.

Hygienic cuff:

You cannot continue the game if the cuff is wet. Wet cuff must be dried immediately.

When using cuffs, mechanical damage to the caps protecting the sensors sometimes occurs. In such cases, the caps must be replaced.

It is necessary to recharge the bandages immediately after the game for no more than 80 minutes.

It is necessary to store bandages in a well–ventilated room at a temperature from +18 ° C to +30 ° C and a relative humidity of 45-65%.

THE OPTICAL PART OF THE KITS

It is necessary to take care of the optical part of the kit. If the optics are dirty, it is necessary to wipe it with special wet wipes.

Avoid physical damages of equipment and getting moisture inside the case.

STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT

The service life of laser tag equipment depends on proper storage and careful operation. Everything is important in storage: well-organized charging of game sets, absence of wires under your feet, temperature and humidity in the room.

While equipping rooms, it is necessary to take care of high-quality wiring. Do not use surge protectors without short circuit protection.

Storage of equipment can be organized with the help of racks, armory rooms. Armory racks let you to charge the equipment without taking it out of their sections. The mains filter and the "Spider" charger can be hidden under the rack. This is the place where you can also put a small box with different things: remotes, a couple of first-aid kits, LASERWAR bombs. Optical and collimator sights will not have to be removed from the tags.

Head bands for taggers can be placed on the cartridge clip, saving the space of the armory.

TRANSPORTATION OF EQUIPMENT

For the transportation of the gaming equipment, we recommend you to purchase special bags, they will allow you to preserve the appearance of tag guns in case of any damage.

For convenient carrying of head bandages you can use the "Command post", as it has enough space for additional equipment. The "Command post" is available in the store only on order.

Also, the bandages are convenient for “stringing” them on control points. In this simple way, you can transport up to 10 bandages. It is obvious, that it would be convenient to organize transportation in this way, rather than all the equipment will be mixed up.
