  1. On the version mismatch: the Microsoft Store may lag behind the direct download, so it's worth checking the official site's release notes rather than trusting Store updates alone. If 1.135 is what you're actually running, confirm whether the custom-sound fix from 1.1.60 carried forward, because that's the part that trips people up. On the "Sound maker" search that never finishes, a Store reinstall sometimes leaves cached app data behind; clearing that folder might be what's blocking the load. For the WAV, re-export in Audacity with metadata fields blank and verify it's mono, since stereo 8-bit files often fail silently.
  2. The point about fog machines and strobes is worth stressing for anyone running a venue in a busy market like ours here in Birmingham. Visibility and staff oversight matter more than atmosphere when players are moving fast through a maze. I'd add that your infection-zone lighting idea works better if the color shift is consistent across rounds, so returning players read the space quickly instead of guessing. The shared-plot approach across rounds also seems smart for keeping a party group engaged for the full 75 minutes without needing constant staff narration.
