Outdoor: first failures are moisture on optics and connector corrosion. Indoor malls: strap wear and charging ports.

  • Silica gel in humid regions
  • Weekly optics wipe outdoors
  • Separate kids-party headbands if possible

Outdoor polygons and semi-open warehouses punish gear differently than climate-controlled malls.

Owners with both indoor and outdoor experience — which components fail first outdoors?

  • headbands / vests
  • tagger boards & optics
  • batteries & charging routines
  • radio / Wi-Fi scoring

Also curious about maintenance intervals: weekly checks vs monthly? Any mods (sealing, cases, different straps) that extended service life?
