A short while ago, we visited the Storm laser tag club, which is based in Moscow, and met with its wonderful team. The history of the club creation started 5 years ago. Now, this is a big project. 2000 square metre premises have been adapted for the games and fitted with all the necessary modern equipment. A team of expert instructors cater for the safety of players of all age groups. Valdis Pelsh, the club director, treated us to tea and divulged the secrets of his success. — Valdis, what became the starting point of the Storm? — In fact, I’ve been playing tactical games for many years. At some point, it struck me: "Why not open a club of my own?” This is how it started. Certainly, there were a lot of options to choose from. But when I weighed all the perspectives and possibilities, I settled upon laser tag. This sort of game is the safest and suits all client categories. It is good even for the most demanding customers. I must say at once that there were several attempts to open a club. It didn’t go smoothly right from the start: sometimes we lacked resources; at other times, we were let down by our partners. Now, at last, I have finally arrived to my current standing. Of course, there is still so much ahead, we have our goals and development objectives. — You surely must have encountered difficulties when you just opened the club. — I did of course. As a matter of fact, one thing, well, probably, any entrepreneur must be ready for – they have to work with their own hands. My main job takes away a lot of my time. When the club was just opening, this created some problems. Yet I decided at once that I needed premises for the club. It took me some six weeks to search for it, to contact landlords, some of whom were not at all honest and trustworthy. Finally, we got an excellent playground conveniently located in the city. Clearly, the premises were not equipped at first. We had to dismantle some objects by ourselves, to bring in building materials, set up hideouts, do the lighting. Let me tell you one secret: when you do not sleep, your day becomes a lot longer. There were moments when I wanted to give it all up, but each time I made myself go on with my undertaking. I simply realized that all those hardships were temporary. And so they were. — Did you have to deal with this all by yourself or was there anyone who helped you open the club? I am very grateful to Michael, who is my business partner. Even though he hardly knew anything about laser tag, he built this all along with me, he created it and went all out. It is easy to recall this all now. All we have left to do is to find a uniform style for the place and refurbish it. Besides, we have Aleksey – he is the soul of our team of instructors. He can always create the right atmosphere. Our clients admire him for this. Some of our partners joined us after we had opened the club. The L n P team, which participate in the well-known "Night Watch" games, is my favourite. It frequently seems to me that they spend as much time in the club as I do. I am not talking about mutually beneficial relationships now. All these people have been supporting me in different ways. I can’t help mentioning a relatively new Fire-strike project. This is a type of military games and tactical training. Their equipment is identical to its real-life prototype when it comes to audio effects and to handling it. The guys worked on the project all by themselves. Creating a realistic atmosphere of combat is its objective. — Wow! Valdis, please tell us about further plans of the club. — At the moment, our top priority is expanding the playground and fitting it will all the necessary facilities. This is essential if we want to get good photos and for marketing purposes in general. Our specialists promote the club in the internet and in social networks and wait for more material. All is interconnected. And there is more to come. We want to build up our client base. Thanks to the service, word of mouth is very effective in this business area. Time has come to bring about new scenario ideas. Now there is Zombie, hostage release, disarming a bomb etc. on our price list. We have created our own scenario of a game played in complete darkness. Now what do you say about that? Those who have tried this scenario know about it. And of course, one can celebrate a birthday or corporate party, stag parties or any other occasion. For example, now, many women are booking for the 23d of February. There is a good reason for that! The stronger half of the human race are sure to appreciate this. — This sounds really interesting. How are scenario games held in the club and how do you establish the winner? — As a rule, we follow this scheme: warming up, instructions, giving out weapons, registering players, dividing into teams and playing the game itself. We provide support and advice to those who play for the first time. We cannot allow such a situation when one team always wins while the other one always loses – then, combat spirit may be lost. We often combine several objectives in one game: control point capture, bomb mode, hostage release. Here is yet another important point: we always provide the statistics of the results of each player. In spite of the work load, we aim to provide reports on same day or on the following day at the latest. Otherwise, you may realise what a rush begins. — I always wondered how safety measures are adhered to at laser tag clubs? For kids come to play here. — Although a laser tag club is safe by itself, we place the quality of instructions before a game in the first place. Besides, we closely watch a game and we always stay close. Besides, we have ensured that the premises are suitable and safe for children and teenagers. The main partitions and fortifications are made of wood, the passages are wide and spacious; we removed all potentially dangerous elements and constructions when we were refurbishing the area. Besides, we are planning to purchase additional protection for knees, elbows and wrists. So as their parents feel at ease. — Valdis, many new entrepreneurs in Moscow claim that starting and maintaining a business venture is extremely hard considering the fierce competition. What about laser tag? — From the moment we opened, we didn’t experience fierce rivalry. In my opinion, this is because we do not really want to be rivals. We all do same type of thing and there is still so much to develop. Lots of people have never played laser tag, many do not even know what laser tag is. In addition to this, each club has own clients, own target audience. Besides, the location of a playground shapes a particular circle. We are on very good terms with other laser tag clubs located in Moscow or near Moscow, to say the least. We share ideas and learn from one another. — And the last question. As a user of LASERWAR equipment, what can you say about its quality and the service provided by this company? — I have known LASERWAR as a producer of equipment and devices for laser tag for a long time. At first, I tried to cooperate with other producers, yet that did not bring any results. So I have no regrets whatsoever about my choice of producer. Both the quality and the service provided by the firm are top level. As equipment user and club director, I am waiting for a mobile application for gathering players’ statistics. It would have been very convenient and would have made the work so much easier! — Valdis, thank you so much for the interesting discussion! We wish you successful further development.

Two exhibition days at the Moscow based Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre ran by really fast. For those who didn’t have a chance to visit the Vystrel 2018, we have prepared a photo report of the exhibition and the LASERWAR stand. The name speaks for itself: the exhibition was devoted to everything that shoots. There was an extensive exposition on two floors of pavilion 7a of the exhibition. Everything capable of shooting was presented to the attention of those visitors who cannot remain indifferent to weapons: starting with a PM M1910 placed inside the body of the famous GAZ-AA to the very first models of small arms. There were profoundly pacifist stands, too, though. Disarmament, demilitarization) Yet boys are genetically predisposed to be passionate about weapons, which means that when there is a choice between a chocolate and a gun, a real man will go for… Well, you understand) Our stand, fully prepared, received guests and enjoyed much popularity among them. To the attention of our visitors, we offered sample models of laser tag weapons and additional equipment for tactical games, as well as a training set for biathletes Laser biathlon. Opposite our stand, we had set a shooting range with electronic biathlon targets. There, anyone could practice shooting a biathlon rifle and other laser tag weapon models. There were quite a few of those wishing to shoot. Mobile phones are a real scourge of our age. You can neither hide from them nor avoid using them. Wait a minute, I will call you back later… Now, how about this… Fire a pistol one more time. People wearing camouflage clothes walk up and down the room, assault rifles in their hands. That’s quite normal, considering the subject of the exhibition. Among other reasons, visitors find our stand attractive for its interesting exposition as well as for the fact that they can take any of the models into their hands. Commemorative photos from the stand are just as popular as is shooting. Say cheese! Among the visitors, there are a lot of families. The subject of the exhibition, though being specific, is fascinating to everyone. For the history! Who said that women are not into shooting? Wow! She is the right candidate for the role of James Bond’s companion! The target has been hit! The Phoenix submachine gun is a reliable model for rental clubs and is comfortable during a game. Directly at the targets, salvo fire! That’s how these two days of the exhibition flew by. With lots of positive emotions, meeting new people and making acquaintances. We are not saying goodbye, for there are going to be more exhibitions and new connections. Look forward to seeing you at our stands!

Dear users of laser tag equipment from LASERWAR! We always give proper consideration to your wishes and requests as to the operation of play sets and devices and we try to take into account your recommendations when modernizing a program and introducing changes to it. For when it comes to such a matter, can anything really compare to the experience of playing games? Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the producer. We aim to materialise our plans. We have updated the LASERWAR configurator program for Windows once again. Changes have been done to the devices section, i.e. “Smart control point”. The values range for all time parameters has now been increased. For example, the maximum time value for the “Control point capture” scenario is now 3599 seconds. The new settings that have been added to characters presets increase possibilities during a game when a player is wounded: Health regeneration, Bleeding start, Bleeding interval, Background illumination level, Colour at wounding. We are convinced that these changes will help vary scenarios and will give more scope for the imagination of laser tag game organizers. Update your LASERWAR configurator to the latest version and take advantage of its new possibilities!

Here is great news for laser tag club administrators, engineers of service centers and all those who use USB bases to set up the parameters of laser tag equipment. Many users have encountered issues concerning the unstable operation of a USB base with 3.0 USB ports on the latest Windows program versions. This annoying inconvenience is now a matter of the past. LASERWAR engineers have fully re-evaluated and updated the internal firmware of USB bases and the algorithm of data exchange between a base and the LASERWAR configurator, as well as control over packet switching over an infrared channel. As a result, a USB base provides stable operation both with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on Windows versions 7 to 10. To take advantage of the updates you need to download and install LASERWAR configurator version 8.5.4 and update circuit board firmware of the USB base to version BaseUSB2.01.04.01. You can update base firmware by yourself it you have a programmator. Otherwise, you can have it done at our service centre by sending your base there. After you have carried out the updates, you will be able to use your USB base to change the settings of your generation 4—7 play sets. To do that, you will need to place a blaster emitter and headband sensors next to one another (the equipment must be on and in admin mode). Then, you will have to direct the USB base emitter at them and change the required parameters by means of the LASERWAR configurator. The update that has been done to the base firmware has significantly increased the speed with which devices are now discovered as well as the stability of connection through the infrared channel. Besides, a USB base and the LASERWAR configurator can be applied for comprehensive programming of such devices as the Chameleon universal point, the Smart first aid kit 2.0, the Crater bomb and the Smart control point. To do this, you must direct base emitters at the sensors of devices in admin mode, as shown in the picture. A special note for those who own Smart control points produced in 2017. Due to the special construction of the top panel of the device, one may need to put an extra effort into finding the right position of USB emitters in order to obtain reliable infrared connection. You can resolve the issue by removing the top cover of the control point before you start programming. This problem has been eliminated in control points produced in 2018 or later. We will still be glad to receive from you any suggestions regarding problems in equipment operation and we will do all we can to eliminate them as soon as possible.

Covering the activity of our country's busy laser tag clubs has already become a tradition in our company. Today, we interviewed online Andrey Malyarov – a pragmatic and self-motivated young director of the Medved military patriotic club, a person who is truly devoted to what he does. — Andrey, could you please tell us where the idea of creating a laser tag club came from? A few years ago, I came to a laser tag game in my native city of Tolyatti. I cannot say that I got immediately enthralled by this activity. It was interesting, but nothing more than that. Later I realized that my first impression was greatly influenced by the wrong weapon. The size of the play set wasn’t just right for me. All-in-all, everyone picks a type of weapon to their liking… After a while, same organizers played out Star Wars scenario. Several different clubs participated in the game. Then I met the Tolyatti VPK Medved team. I was very impressed by their gorgeous cannons, by the uniform style, radios and the good teamwork… It was then that I strongly decided to become part of that team. During those few years that I played as part of that team, we were awarded quite a number of titles and gained several victories both at amateur games and sports tournaments. That was a really wonderful time. Yet… sometimes circumstances may interfere with our life plans and inclinations. It has been a year since I moved to Moscow. Unfortunately, there are no such teams in Moscow. I had to create a team by myself. I decided to keep the same name. I only added another location. They are in Tolyatti – I am in Moscow. That being said, the Medveds have remained one team. I had to sell my business in Tolyatti (a chain of coffee shops) and invested the money, a rather slender amount by Moscow standards, into the development of the laser tag club. — What hardships did you come across at the early stage? You know, finding the suitable location for a game is the main difficulty in Moscow. I had to choose between the central city area and the territory outside MKAD. I found it surprising that there were plenty of abandoned buildings even in the third zone. But as a rule, those were secured premises. Besides, the competition would have been fierce – there were lots of old good clubs around the area. Finally, after several failures, I discovered an airsoft club and resolved that uniting with that club would be the win-win solution. And so it was, owing to the efforts of qualified and experienced directors. Currently, the territory of the club spreads over an area of 3800 m2. We have now increased the playground area and we are going to continue increasing it. We are planning to expand the indoor arena to 6 thousand square metres. Far from everything went smoothly, though. People let us down, we were robbed and lots of other nasty things happened to us. Yet every such unlucky situation added to our experience and we came out of it with new fresh ideas. They made us stronger and it never even crossed our mind that we had to accept the situation as it was and put up with it. Another problem was Moscow prices: rent prices, travel cost, prices on marketing. As I have a very limited budget, the financial side of the matter is a real issue for me. Problem number three – the partner. Unfortunately, I still have to do everything all by myself. I am very grateful to the guys from the team, for they help me with whatever they can. Same thing can be said about the airsoft club – my true friend that is always there when I need a hand. I have also come across an unforeseen problem – I cannot find players for my team. Everyone is busy with their work in Moscow. Those who are not occupied with anything cannot afford going to games and participating in competitions. There are permanent customers, though, quite a lot of them. Yet there are not a lot of players with a motivation to train and who are interested in laser tag as a sport. — I wonder what inspires you, the creator, to go on with your undertaking? Do you agree that owing a business means continuous effort and forward movement? I train children aged 5 and over in a junior team. Their joy, trust, the gratitude I receive from their parents give me a great stimulus and inspiration for further battle for the club status. This is not to mention birthday parties, which are always delightful. We have guests who have visited us 6 or more times in the last year. I believe this to be an unmistakable indicator that we are doing the right thing. I remember the faces of all the kids and they like it a lot when I recognize them. Unfortunately, soon I won’t be able to remember everyone any more, for more games will be held and there are going to be other instructors, too. I believe that everyone must leave something important behind after them. As for me, I want the team to exist and junior training to continue after I am gone. You may claim that business is made for making money. That is undoubtfully true. Yet I am convinced that there’s more to this than meets the eye. Money cannot be a goal in itself. There must be soul in every undertaking that we call business. People feel it. — We fully agree with you. How do you stimulate your players? Do you have any particular means of attracting clients? In our club, we have players’ rating system: 1 level — club player; 2 level — sergeant; 3 level — officer; 4 level — club guards; top level — special detachment. At each level, there are not only bonuses, but also certain responsibilities. Clun players pay a monthly fee or gain access to club games through exchange of contributions – for their work for the benefit of the club. Club players receive discounts and bonuses. For example: — free temporary weapon replacement in case a personal weapon is being repaired; — a 25% discount on a game organization fee for all scenario games of a club (with the exception of prize fund games); — if a club member has a personal weapon – he will be offered an opportunity to bring 1 player with him to an open game free once a month. The higher the rating of a player, the more bonuses he will have. There are some requirements: to move on to the next level, one must get through a challenge: win a duel fight, capture control points, etc. Besides, there are rules of conduct for players, such as wearing camouflage and club chevrons. A team is the face of a club. There were incidents when we had to expel good players for bad behaviour. — That’s strict yet fare. What were the key criteria that you were guided by when choosing the supplier of laser tag equipment? Choosing a reliable producer is a very important point – the success of the whole venture depends on this to a great extent. The VPK Medved in Tolyatti worked closely with LASERWAR. I was a member of the team and I played with your equipment many years. Therefore, when I opened my own Medved club in Moscow, it didn’t take me long to make up my mind what supplier to go for. I must admit that I tried ordering equipment from other producers, but it was inferior to that produced by LASERWAR. Now I have absolutely no regrets about our co-operation. Producers guide us through along the way. We can contact the technical support at any moment. More than that, if any serious matters arise, we can contact the CEO directly and consult with him. In my opinion, it is worth a lot. But in reality, quality issues are a very rare thing. A weapon like the Predator is impossible to break

Here is excellent news for lovers of biathlon, coaches and sportsmen. Something in the range of LASERWAR Laser Biathlon has been replaced. The sports rifle that young sportsmen will receive meets the highest world standards and so is suitable for proper training. The compact, stylish, light, ergonomic rifle can easily compete with the world’s top biathlon weapons, which are used by eminent sportsmen for training. Anyway, you can see it for yourself: The rifle stock is made of beech or walnut—this light and strong material has been recognized by armourers the world over. Ideally, wood must 'breathe’. Therefore, instead of being painted it has been treated with special wood protection. The pistol grip with an anti-slip notch is comfortable to hold in one’s hands - the weapon definitely won't slip out of them. The stock has adjustable shoulder and cheek pads which make it possible to personalize it and thus allow any sportsman to use its possibilities to the maximum. The rifle is fitted with a double reload mechanism. The classic biathlon reload bolt imitates the operation of a smallbore rifle. As to the youngest of sportsmen, it will be easier for them to reload the weapon by pushing the bolt with their thumbs. The rifle is fitted with a ring-type eye-piece and an adjustable dioptre sight with 0.05 mm pitch. During action, both the foresight and the back sight are protected against snow getting inside with mobile covers. A system of belts that steadily fix the weapon behind a sportsman’s back is undoubtfully one of the important elements of the biathlon rifle affecting the result of a competition and shooting effectiveness. The rifle comes with a belt for attaching it behind one’s back with a standard set of fasteners compatible with a majority of belt models that are produced. At the front section of the stock there are fittings for an additional sling attachment. The rifle is activated by means of a button at the stock end. The rifle borrowed its optical system, electronics and all its functions from the laser BI-7-5. It has adjustment fire mode, too. To enter the mode, slide the reload bolt, turn on the rifle and pull the trigger three times. At that, the laser emitter will enter the automatic fire mode for the convenience of sight adjustment. By pulling the reload bolt three more times, you will enter the settings mode. There, you can select the number of extra cartridges, the number of magazines, reload type and sound effects settings. Push the reload bolt to switch between settings options. To confirm your choice, pull the trigger. The rifle has a lithium-ion accumulator. Any 5B device with a mini-USB input will do to charge it. A charger inlet is on the left-hand side of the stock. You can buy the Laser Biathlon 2.0 Light right now at our online store. Its price is 83 000 roubles. The set comprises a 72 000 rouble laser rifle (a three-point belt is included) and an 11 000 rouble target. This set will be great help to starting sportsmen in their training.

Hey everyone! After the successful completion of the Smolensk-Hannover motor rally, our team took up positions at stand A22, hall 15 of the exhibition centre of the Hannover Trade Fair for Industrial Technology – HANNOVER MESSE 2018. Fully armed, we greet visitors at our stand. The Smolensk based LASERWAR company is going to present technical solutions and equipment for outdoor and indoor laser tag at the exhibition area of the Russian Export Centre (REC). All-in-all, 23 companies, patronized by the REC and stationed in 4 halls of the Hannover Trade Fair for Industrial Technology, represent Russia. The ‘Russian Exporters’ category and the certification with ‘Made in Russia' quality sign were developed by the Russian export centre in 2017. The quality sign is aimed at supporting Russian manufacturers in their attempt to sell their products on the international market. It guarantees safety and high quality of products to foreign consumers. The products made by our company are getting more popular on the international market due to the fact that they are highly technological, have a wide set of functions and are of outstanding quality at an optimum price. LASERWAR exports over half of the total volume of its products and this indicator is still growing. Speaking about the exhibition arrangement, we would like to highlight the excellent work and the perfect organization of the exhibition area of the Russian Export Centre. Everything has been thoroughly thought out and well designed. Besides the stalls of the participating companies, there is a conference area, where heads of delegations can negotiate with visitors, and a recreation area, where the numerous visitors can relax and have a cup of tea. The official opening of the Russian export centre area is scheduled for 16-00, but there is a flow of visitors already. As a rule, visitors do not bypass the REC area. And the first thing they pay attention to when they do enter the area is the offbeat weapon models at our stand. It must be said that it really is the centre of attention. All-in-all, laser tag has become so popular all over the world that it is hardly ever needed to explain what this equipment is for. The interest in the game and the equipment is high, and those are not only players and business partners who are involved. The stall has been visited by both foreign and Russian journalists a few times. We have just finished giving an interview to the Moscow-24 channel. They asked very diverse questions – about our German partners and then some, about our development trends and plans for the future. In the last few years, we have acquired lots of partners in Germany. Several clubs in Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover use our equipment. We are on very friendly terms with them. This is more than words. Our colleagues from the Battlefield for Friends gave us support in our trip and helped us out when our equipment got stuck at the customs. We are grateful to them and will always be pleased to see them both at our stand and at our company. Such a grand exhibition is an excellent cause for meeting with our permanent customers. We look forward to seeing all our permanent customers at our stand and our special LASERWAR presents are waiting for them. We will also treat them to tea and biscuits) Our team is at the action post, ready and waiting for a flow of visitors after the official opening of the REC area. We look forward to everyone at our stand. We will show and tell you everything about laser tag that you have ever wanted to know and discuss the perspectives of our cooperation. Come along and have a good time!

Good day everyone! In spite of local internet connection problems, again we are reporting from Hannover! Due to the sudden inflow of visitors during the second day, there was a serious network problem and as a result, we had issues with sending photo reports, yet gradually it all got sorted. We still keep watch at stall A22, hall 15, yet there have been some changes. As previously noted, our stand has been invariably turning into the lodestone for the visitors of the Russian Export Centre exposition. Due to the influx of visitors, the REC administration has suggested that we should open an additional LASERWAR stall in hall 6, box F54, where another REC area is located. This means that we have been gradually and absolutely peacefully flooding the exhibition centre and tomorrow we will be able to greet you in two areas. The flow of visitors has been stably high so far, and all our team members have been working very diligently, answering clients’ questions and explaining all sorts of things. At first, many guests take our weapons for real and are taken aback by our exposition. When they discover later on that what they see is actually game equipment, they start wondering how we have managed to go through the customs with all this stuff) So, we have to explain to them that our equipment has all the required documents and safety certificates meeting the international standards, so we have no problems with transporting it. Today at 13-00 the REC area of our hall was officially opened. A whole German delegation was at the opening. They visited our stall, too. The REC deputy director and one of the exhibition organizers made speeches. Our guys gave thanks to the organizers for the extensive possibilities that had been offered and for the excellent organization of the exhibition. The organizers assured that expositions from Russia have traditionally stirred high interest and have been highly valuable for the exhibition. All-in-all, life is in full swing. Our permanent clients remember about us, too. Today we had a chat with the owner of the LaserTreff club from Hamburg. We gave him gifts and memorable souvenirs and he in turn invited us to his club for a big game and promised to give us a hand at the exhibition stalls. Besides, we signed an agreement for equipment delivery to his new arena. A large proportion of the visitors of our stall are certainly boys. Boys and weapons are a separate subject. Can anyone really help holding in their hands a weapon that is so much like its combat version and take a few photos? Their faces are glowing with excitement! Computer games are nowhere near it. Laser tag has a future – a real game is just as engaging as PC virtual worlds! In spite of the weapon theme, we are peaceful people. The more people play laser tag, the fewer of them will want to take real weapons in their hands. Meeting on game battlefields is a much better idea than fighting on real battlegrounds. This sounds almost like the famous motto of 1960s «MAKE L…*, NOT WAR», where L…* stands for Laser tag. So, see you tomorrow. We look forward to meeting you at stall A22, hall 15, and at our new stall F54, hall 6.

Good day everyone! Today, our additional stall F54 in hall 6 has been opened. When the flow of visitors tapered off yesterday evening, the REC staff made ready a place for our exposition, so we moved part of our equipment to the new place. Part of our group has been greeting exhibition guests at the new stall since this morning. It must be pointed out that the two stalls now cover different subject matters. In hall 6, the main emphasis is on indoor laser tag systems, while in hall 15, outdoor laser tag is represented and mass-dimensional models, which are so attractive to visitors, are displayed. At our exposition, we are presenting CYBERTAG to our European clients. This is a complex system of equipment for laser tag arenas developed and produced by LASERWAR. The so-called ‘Made in Russia’ gadgets. The design, the production quality and the wide set of functions of this system are as good as those of world top product brands, while the sensible price contributes to the gradual expansion of the system on the world market. Generally speaking, participation in the largest exhibitions of the kind forms an idea in the world community about the scientific, industrial and technological possibilities of our country. This is exactly the reason why the Russian Export Centre puts in so much time and money on decent presentation of the country at the events of such a high level. We are proud we have been offered the opportunity to represent Russia at the biggest European industrial area. The profound interest that has been sparked by our products among the visitors makes us hope that we justify the trust placed in us. Participating in international exhibitions is rather costly for any company. it frequently pays off only in the faraway future. When taking part in such an event, one must certainly have clear goals. What were LASERWAR goals when we came to the HANNOVER MESSE? We frequently participate in the international exhibitions of game equipment and entertainment industry, during which many business issues are solved. From this point, the HANNOVER MESSE is not so relevant for us, yet we have certain objectives. We want to learn about new industrial and technological things and decide on the development tendencies of own manufacture process and laser tag in general. We also want our company staff get the experience and skills of working on international level events and communication with clients using the technique of immersion. It is safe to say that we are steadily approaching the accomplishment of our objectives. The turmoil of the exhibition opening ceremony has been over and work is in full swing. We are still waiting to see you at our stalls. See you soon!

LASERWAR wants to draw your attention to the development which was made by request of one laser tag club. Dear laser tag players, we suggest that you think over the following questions: Are you interested in such an idea of a device? Which modifications of this piece of equipment would you like to have in your laser tag club and make use in gaming? Tactical Shield has been arousing controversial views since it appeared in the list of LASERWAR equipment. On the one hand, using the device makes the game scenario more captivating. It may be Special Forces siege, hostage rescue or even terrorists assault. Instructors should only rely on their flight of fancy. No restrictions. A wide store of laser tag equipment will just broaden the frames of imagination. But, on the other hand, as some doubting Thomas may say, it's not so realistic when a player is totally invulnerable with the shield. Besides, shooting in an ostrich manner —when the headband is covered — is regarded as "mauvais ton" in laser tag. We always respond to the demands of our customers and constantly seach for best solutions concerning our products quality. This debate as well as the wishes of one our client prompted us the idea to make the shield more vulnerable. It will consequently result in reducing the health points of a player which will hide behind the shield. On request of one of our customers LASERWAR company has developed a series of laser tag tactical shields with defeat sensors. The result of modification includes a defeat sensor on the front side of the shield and an electronics unit with an IR-diode on the inner side. At the beginning of the game the shield possesses 100% health points and reliably protects the player who covers their headband behind it. Every hit in the shield will lower the amount of its health points. After all the health points are over the electronics unit will transmit every shot recieved by the sensor to the inner side of Tactical Shield. Thus a player is deprived of the opportunity to avoid damage. Due to this function a player may be defeated even while hiding behind the shield. So the game becomes more exciting and dynamic, as a player had better finish their assault before Tactical Shield loses all its health points. The defeat sensor on the shield front side is the same as on a laser tag headband. It's placed between the two torches. The electronics unit is placed on the inner side and equipped with an OLED-indicator which displays remaining health points and battery charge level. There are also a switch with an advanced security lock and a power socket with a rubber plug. A Li+ battery of the electronics unit should be charged by any charger of Li+ series. The price of Tactical Shield is 310 $. You may order it through our website. We hope that this new device will come in handy in various scenarios and do its best to make laser tag game fairer.

NANO Remote has gained deserved popularity with players and trainers for its handiness, small size and weight. However, the device that's always with you, used to operate only two, even the most necessary, commands. A multi-purpose remote that is capable of readjusting most of game settings on the go, is not so good for carrying with you in the game process. There is a need for a compromise, decided the LASERWAR engineers and after analyzing a set of most often used commands, issued an updated Smart Nano Remote. The new remote has become just a little bigger, but its functionality has grown 7 times! Now using the new remote you can operate 14 most necessary commands. And all this by using only 5 buttons. 4 buttons are responsible for the mode selection and the fifth one will execute the chosen command. Let's look at it more closely: The red button with a triangular logotype LASERWAR executes the chosen command. If pressed before choosing a command, there will be a running light on the surface of the remote, showing that you need to select a mode first. The upper button allows to «repaint» a player, changing the color of his team. Press it several times, watching the color of the indicator (red, blue, yellow, green), and select the color you need. Then press the triangular button of confirmation and put the command into action. The flickering of two LED lights indicates the work of the IR-transmitter. The lower button selects the mode «Start/Pause». When selecting a mode, press it once (you can press it more than once, it won't change anything). Then successively press «triangle». First press «freezes» the player, second puts him back into game. The right button alternately selects commands of starting the game and recovering health - «New Game», «Delayed Start», «Reanimation» and «Anomaly (x2 of health)». Take guidance by the color code and press to confirm. The left button alternately selects the commands «Kill the player», «Blue on blue contact FF on/off», «Shot Capacity 49/99» and «History Clearing». Select the command and press to confirm. The remote shuts down automatically in 1 minute after you press any button last. To save the battery power it can be turned off by holding any button pressed for 2 seconds. Smart Nano Remote is powered by CR2032 battery. Battery performance is 1-6 months depending on the usage rate. In the sleep mode the remote can be used with one battery up to 7 years. The price of the Smart Nano Remote is 38 USD. The market launch is on the 1st of May 2018.

In 2016, at the briefing of the International Laser tag Tournament, LASERWAR unveiled plans to create a new multipurpose device. It was a follow-up of the smart first-aid kit idea with advanced functions that allow you to use it as an universal device in scenario games. This device was supposed to be a godsend for the clubs, allowing to expand dramatically the game scenario limits, remaining within the budget. In the beginning was the Word … The announced device was supposed not only to perform function of stationary equipment installed at the bases, respawn or checkpoints, but also to play the role of a portable kit, capable of being a first-aid kit, a bomb or a container for storing radiation and biohazard materials – depending on the scenario and predetermined settings. Adding to these functions the ability to set belonging to a given team or seizing the device through a shot, the ability to destroy the device by enemy fire, activation by holding the button for the preset time and confirmation by a shot from a “living” player makes the scope of possible scenarios more than vast. The appearance of the new device was also planned to be spectacular. The atmospherical device, which has easily recognizable features of its prototype – first-aid kit, had to look suitable on the battlefield, and in the ruins of the zombie apocalypse, and in the stalker zone. A powerful speaker, that can fill the game space with sounds, was planned to supplement with the OLED-display and user-friendly interface. The use of the device in the game was meant to be intuitive, through the use of conventional pictographic images, and convenient and quick adjustment of all the numerous parameters is possible in the field with no need for additional equipment. With such promising goals, the development of a new device was started in 2016. From Idea to Realization From the very beginning work has been held in two directions - designers team has started working at the image of the future device and engineers have begun working through the technical specification for device’s functions. When it became clear that the device is going to surpass its prototype - first aid kit, in functionality, the concept has received new name — «BATTLE BASE». There are three basic scenarios were made the basement of the «BATTLE BASE» functionality. The device can work as «Support Base», being installed at the respawn point and sending out/radiating 9 types of commands: «Revival», «Doctor», «Ammo», «High Fire Rate», «Double Health», «Player Stun», «Disarmament», «Radiation», «Zombie» on a timer or touch of a button. Base can be neutral or belong to one team. Scenario configuration can be set up to regimen when the base owner is defined by the first shot. When base belongs to one team, the game with base destruction is available. In the configuration mode the points of strength, period of delay and time of respawn are set. When firing at the opponent’s base, its points of strength are decreased by the number equal to the power of shot. If the base runs out of hit points it is considered to be destroyed, and the game is over. In the «Checkpoint» scenario, the device performs the functions of a «Checkpoint» itself. Initially, the checkpoint is neutral. The player initiates the takeover procedure by shooting the device. The more players shoot in the device, the faster it is captured. The seized checkpoint can give out impulses «Revival», «Doctor», «Ammo», «High Fire Rate», and «Double Health» for its team. It also could be configured to emit radiation pulse after hitting the device. А player of the enemy team should try to reassert control over the checkpoint. If a player of the opposing team began the capture procedure, а player of the owner team may prevent the seizing with a shot. In the third scenario - «Bomb», work of explosive device is emulated with timer and confirmation of the activation/deactivation within a shot with possibility of full decreasing the strength points of the device. One could ask - what is the difference between this device and the bomb «Crater»? The only difference is that the preset level of the device danger the can vary: conventional explosive, radioactive neutron bomb or biological weapon. Radiation algorithm and the damage effect commands depend on settings and type of the fatal impact is displayed by flickering icons of radiation, biological or other type of hazard. The device can also be used as container with timer for carrying dangerous substances, that should be delivered to some definite place, but it can be destroyed by the opponent. As the number of features and settings available to change grew, the device changed its name to «SMART BATTLE BASE». Meanwhile, designers continued to work on its appearance. As a result, dozens of sketches were born, which were subjected to severe transformation. It is an controversy that truth emerges from, and our new concept emerged from the tenacious and laborious work of the whole LASERWAR authors team. 3D-printer was used to create the numerous case prototypes of the future device, and here, a year later, at the ILT-2017 was presentation of the new device models, which took the finalized shape and functionality. We had a year of work from the model to the manufacture ahead of us. Our next article will be about how it was. P.S.: all the photos attached to the article are just the prototype images of the new device. We will tell more about the serial product later.

Today we are going to talk about Battle Base device and its technical features. Case The case of the device is designed on the expectation of possible extreme rent situations and has a sufficient margin of safety. Made of a special impact-resistant polymer with a high viscosity index, the case has internal reinforcing ribs that significantly increase the strength. The complex shape of the external surface is also a kind of case stiffening ribs. The thickness of its sides gives the device weight and guarantees that in case of accidental collisions with obstacles, the "Battle Base" will not suffer. Inside the case there is a special acoustic jack for a powerful speaker, greatly improving the sound of the device. You will be amazed by a powerful and juicy sound. On the back surface of the device fastener holes are made for mounting on the wall, and a comfortable and durable carrying handle is provided with an easily removable fabric cover. One of the functions of this cover can be setting the color belonging of the device to a certain team. Covers of different colors can be purchased separately on request. Indication and Control Elements All game information is displayed on a bright OLED-display, which is vividly visible even in the sunlight, and is complemented by the glow of seven bright color icons on the front panel of the case, clearly informing about the mode of operation of the device. Indicators «Health», «Ammo», «Anomaly», «Radiation», «Biohazard», «Explosives» and «Team Color» are easily perceived at a great distance and are intuitively understandable. The main game button is made of impact-resistant plastic, it is also well visible and easy to use. The button’s backlight will clue you in that the button is active and waiting for pressing. The mode selection buttons, on the other hand, are countersunk and located under the OLED display not to distract players. Setting and selection of operating modes are made intuitive and are accompanied by prompts on the display. All numerous scenario parameters can be quickly configured "in the field" with no need for additional equipment. Batteries and Electronics The device has a built-in Li + battery with a capacity of 2.2 Ah, giving the ability to play without recharging from 12 to 24 hours, depending on the intensity of use. Charging is performed by the Li+ charger, the connection socket is located on the rear panel and protected by a cover plug. Power is turned on by a convenient button on the backboard. Electronics provides a bright and juicy indication of the device's operation, and a 3-watt amplifier provides an incredibly cool and rich sound. The OLED display presents text, digital information and graphical animations, which accompany the selected mode of operation. All electronic boards are assembled by a method of automated mount, which eliminates the errors in the assembly and significantly increases the reliability of the device. Main Technical Parameters of Smart Battle Base 1. Number of scenarios - 3 main and 2 additional 2. Indication - OLED display, RGB LEDs 3. Sound power - 3 W 4. Battery life - 12-24 hours

The scope of Battle Base application in the gameplay is very broad, thanks to the thought-out structure, impressive design and wide functionality of the device. The design of the base provides the possibility of its mounting on the wall when used as a stationary device at respawns and teams’ bases. At the same time a convenient carrying handle allows you to use it as a mobile device — this option is also provided for by scenarios. Thanks to a spectacular design and bright, well-visible indication of operating modes, Battle Base will look suitable not only during playing in the outdoor areas, but also in the game spaces of clubs, and a powerful sound system of the base will be perfectly audible in any conditions. Let's consider in more detail the functionality incorporated into the base: Scenario 1: «Support Base» In this scenario, the «Battle base» emits a given impulse. The type of radiated pulses is set by the settings, or is selected randomly. In total 9 impulses are available: «Revival», «Medic», «Ammo», «High Fire Rate», «Double health», «Player Stun», «Disarmament», «Radiation», «Zombie». Initially, the base can be neutral or belong to one team. Scenario configuration can be set up to mode when the base owner is defined by the first shot. When base belongs to one party, color of its team is assigned to the emission in impulses «Revival», «Medic», «Ammo». In the configuration, you can also set the period and number of emitted impulses. Three modes are provided for pulse activation: «Timer», «Button» and «Button+Timer». In the first case, the base will periodically emit a predetermined number of impulses. In the second case (Button) the player can trigger the emission of one impulse by pressing the button. In the third case, the base will send out a specified number of pulses after a preset period of time even after pressing the button. If base belongs to one team, the game with base destruction is available. In the configuration mode the points of strength, period of delay and recovery time are set. When firing at the opponent’s base, its points of strength are decreased by the number equal to the power of shot. If the base runs out of hit points it is considered to be destroyed, and the game is over. Radiation of impulses takes place only when the base has full volume of strength points. While playing with strength points, it is possible to turn on the emission of a radiation pulse after hitting the base. The opportunity of separate adjustment of all scenario parameters gives a large range of available use cases. Scenario 2: «Checkpoint» From the very beginning the checkpoint is neutral. The player initiates the takeover procedure by shooting the device. The capture time depends on the number of seizing players. The more players shoot at the device, the faster it is captured. The seized checkpoint can give out impulses «Revival», «Medic», «Ammo», «High Fire Rate», and «Double Health» supporting its team. It also could be configured to emit radiation pulse after hitting the device. А player of the enemy team should try to reassert control over the checkpoint. If a player of the opposing team began the capture procedure, а player of the owner team may prevent the seizing with a shot. To win the game, the seizing team must hold the checkpoint for a given time. Its countdown begins after the first capture. Scenario 3: «Bomb» In this scenario, the device represents a bomb of a given type. There are 3 types of charge: High-explosive, Neutron and Biological. When a bomb detonates, the single impulse "Blow up the player" is given. Further, when the Neutron charge is triggered, a radiation impulse is periodically given with 25% of the damage power. When the biological container is activated, the device emits the «Zombie» pulse. Audio background, accompanying the explosion of a Neutron or Biological bomb, will not leave you indifferent. The clicking of the Geiger counter accompanying the radiation release is as impressive as the roar of a hungry zombie in the explosion of a biological container. To activate the bomb, a player must press and hold the game button for a certain time. After that, the bomb is considered activated and starts a countdown to the explosion. During this time, the bomb can be deactivated. In order to do that, press and hold the game button for a certain amount of time. It is also possible to use the «anticheat» mode - the need to confirm the activation and / or deactivation of the bomb by a shot. Depending on the scenario, the bomb not only can be installed as a stationary device, with the need to activate and deactivate it, but also can be used as a portable wearable charge for a sabotage group. It is possible to use the «Combat Base» as a container for carrying radioactive or biologically dangerous substances, which should be delivered to the intended destination within the time set by timer. «Smart Battle Base» will undergo its «baptism of fire» on the International Laser tag Tournament - 2018, where four copies of the new device will be involved in the gameplay. In what capacity? It is a secret of the organizers. The participants of the ILT will be able to get acquainted with the capabilities of the device in combat conditions. The scope of device scenarios is limited only by the imagination of the players. It is likely that the functionality of the "Battle Base" will be expanded as new requests show up, because LASERWAR always tries to take into account the wishes of users. We are confident that you will find many more applications for the new device and it will take its rightful place in your arsenal. All technical features and characteristics of the "Battle base" you can find out on June 9 on the LASERWAR website.

Hey guys! We are on-site in halls 6 and 15 again. Now that we’ve got an additional stand and our team have had to be divided, we’ve suddenly felt that the workload per each participant has increased enormously. Because of the heavy flow of visitors, we cannot take even a minute’s break, nor can we find time to compose an account of the events of the day. Therefore, today we can offer just a brief photo report about the exhibition visitors. All sorts of people came to visit our stand, including the specialists from the Wittmund Bundeswehr school. The school is actively developing electronics. Therefore, their interest in our laser tag equipment was truly professional. Those are not only young people, though, who are interested in our guns. To weapons, as well as to love, all ages yield surrender. «Back to back against the mainmast, held at bay the entire crew». The authenticity of the play guns, the full exterior affinity between them and their combat prototypes seem unusual to the Europeans, yet these qualities make them even more attractive. Everyone wants to feel like a sniper. Just imagine what sort of experience one can get during a real game… Come to laser tag and find out by yourself! All-in-all, visitors keep coming, and our place is humming. The day flew by so fast we hardly even noticed it. Thanks to the excellent organization of the exhibition area, there is no need to be distracted by annoying trifle things, so we concentrate on more important things. We would like to give thanks to the Russian Export Centre Administration, as well as to the Export Support Centre of the Smolensk oblast, which supported the registration of the LLC Laserwar at the REC stand. Tomorow will be the final day of the exhibition. All those who would like to visit us but haven’t had time to, will still have a chance to do this. See you at our stands!

Good day everyone! Today is the final day of this what may seem endless exhibition marathon and even though we are quite worn out, we are not subdued and so we are reporting again. It is hard to find the right words to get across the whirlpool of emotions and impressions after communicating with such a number of visitors simultaneously. During busy times, up to 20 guests gather round the stand, and we give maximum time to each of them. Visitors show great interest in CYBERTAG – this equipment range has been specially developed by LASERWAR for indoor laser tag. They can take their time to examine the play sets at our stand. They can get additional information from LASERWAR specialists whenever they need. A small booklet with a description of the system will complete the overall impression. What is more, one can not only watch, but also try playing themselves! Just see how captivating it is! Such a range of emotions! Grown-ups are overcome with joy just like kids. By the way, an hour-long game of laser tag can successfully replace a work-out at a gym. Time will walk by unnoticed and you will play to the point of exhaustion. Childhood never leaves us for good… Do you want to see it for yourself? Come to play CYBERTAG! Our indoor equipment has been working on many foreign playgrounds and keeps conquering the international market. One of the latest CYBERTAG arenas had been opened in Italy and we managed to communicate with its owner in person at the exhibition. There are lots of visitors at our outdoor laser tag stand and work is humming there, too. «Have you used that system in your grenades?» Explosive device imitator for scenario laser tag games. This device with a special character, as displayed in action movies, is very popular in club games. Among the possibilities offered by the exhibition is the one to communicate with company directors. He doesn’t ever seem to get tired at all. Where is his switch button? Heavy weapons are invariably popular among the visitors. All-in-all, the work during the exhibition has been intense yet fruitful. At this biggest European exhibition of high technologies and innovations, we have delivered a decent presentation of our country. The great interest that visitors have displayed in our company stands proves this. The #madeinrussia brand is the indicator of quality and trust of users all over the world.

The 5-day marathon of the Hannover industrial fair has neared its end. Our nearly 2-week long motor rally over Europe has come to an end, too. Now it’s time to sum up the results of our participation in HANNOVER MESSE 2018. Our team of top employees and developers have travelled over more than five thousand kilometres of the territory of Europe. Many of them have participated in an event of this level for the first time. Warsaw, Berlin, Hamburg and the final aim, Hannover – these have been the biggest signposts on our way. The reason why we chose such an indirect route is because on our way to Hannover we managed to visit our German partners and learned more about their business. We visited the LASERTREFF laser tag club in Hamburg and learned about the features of laser tag business organization in Germany. This laser tag club organizes indoor and outdoor laser tag games and works with the equipment of our firm. We will talk more about this club in a separate article. Next, we paid a visit to a Hannover LASERWAR club Battlefield for Friends. We talked to our colleagues and learned about the operation of the club. Thanks to such visits, business relationships frequently grow into friendships. We were invited to take part in club games and we in turn hope to see a group from the Battlefield for Friends club at MLT 2018. The tournament promises to be truly international. Many times, our colleagues from the Battlefield for Friends helped us solve all sorts of problems during our trip, and we are very grateful to them for this. We are going to devote a separate article about the club later, too. Here is, at last, the Exhibition Centre of the Hannover Industrial Fair – the largest area in Europe where all the technological and industrial inventions are displayed. Our participation in the exhibition was made possible thanks to the Russian Export Centre (REC), which included us, along with other producers, as part of the Russian delegation, and offered us exposition stands in two of the four exposition areas of the REC. The organization of the Russian exposition areas was well-planned and well-coordinated. Besides the exposition stands, each area included a recreation zone, where one could have a cup of coffee and a zone for client negotiations, where heads of delegations could have a quiet chat with the clients that were interested in their products. Business negotiation at the stand were hardly possible, for there was a huge influx of visitors and we had to interact with two dozen people simultaneously. And so it happens that our stand became the centre of attention among the guests of the Russian exhibition area. Weapons always attract people’s attention and a huge influx of visitors, cautiously at first, then with curiosity, first examined our exposition and then dispersed to other stands of the Russian exhibition area. During the first day, the interest in our exposition was so high, that we were offered to organize an additional stand at the second area so as to serve more visitors efficiently. Through the communication with the exhibition visitors we learned about the special features of the European laser tag business. The Europeans are quite cautious when it comes to weapons and the indoor version of laser tag with its deliberately fantastic features, divorced from reality, prevails there. That is the reason why our CYBERTAG equipment set for indoor laser tag was particularly popular among the visitors. Not only kids, but also grown up, decent people were eager to try playing. Just as well as make a memorable selfie. These five days of intensive work at the indoor laser tag stand resulted not only in lifting the mood of the visitors, but also in a number of preliminary agreements for indoor CYBERTAG equipment delivery. In the meantime, our outdoor equipment stand enjoyed the rightful attention of the visitors, too. The older generation of the Europeans are slightly suspicious of weapons. This could be a result of the 20th century wars in Europe. Their suspicion changes to sincere interest only when they realize that this is just play equipment. Russia is a world leader in outdoor laser tag, both in equipment production and in the number of game clubs. In Western countries, far from each million city has outdoor laser tag clubs. The notion of laser tag as a military tactical game and as a business is quite uncommon for the European market, yet the idea is truly fascinating. This is true not only about the Europeans. At the exhibition, we managed to schmooze and forge bonds with several countries, which we didn’t have a chance to come across at other international exhibitions until that time. The visitors were sincerely interested in the realistic blasters with a special character. Everyone was offered a chance to fire at the target without any risk for the people around. The influx of people was perhaps greater than during large specialized exhibitions of the entertainment industry. Against the whole background of industrial technological subject matter, ours was the only island concerned not only with technologies and production, but also with play equipment. Therefore, we were doomed to receive the guests’ attention. Unlike the elder generation, the children and the youth have a sincere and genuine interest in weapons. This is the main target audience of laser tag as a game and as a business. We, too, spent quality time as we studied modern technological inventions, new construction materials and wireless connection technologies. We are certainly going to apply many of those in our new developments. Exhibition visitors displayed twofold interest in the laser tag equipment. On the one hand, this was the interest displayed by users and players. On the other hand, the interest of business organizers in laser tag equipment as a business interest. Yet the interest displayed by either target audience was truly sincere. When equipment prices are read out aloud – a shadow of surprise is added to the interest. Due to the high exchange rates of Dollar and euro, the equipment prices are significantly lower than those of world competitors. Hence, our equipment is very competitive at the world market and keeps gaining footholds. Several times during the exhibition, our stand appeared in the centre of attention both of the Russian and foreign mass media. During numerous TV interviews, we told that laser tag is a next generation tactical game, a game in reality that is just as captivating as virtual computer games. This game attracts millions of people all over the world. Laser tag clubs grow, develop and expand their activities and acquire additional infrastructure, thus turning into entertainment centres. We hope that through our participation in the exhibition laser tag will become even more popular all over the world and that LASERWAR will become a reliable business partner for many and a synonym of reliability and quality of the laser tag equipment that is produced in Russia. The cooperation with the structures of small and medium business in Russia has been a great experience for us. We have studied the features of laser tag business in Europe and have decided on our new development trends. LASERWAR. Made in Russia. Works all over the world.

So, LASERWAR specialists set off on their Silk Road and have successfully reached Hong Kong. In the last years, the company have visited many world capitals, but the financial capital of China is greeting them for the first time. Eventful exhibition days, filled with bright emotions, during which they will meet new people, make business contacts and communicate with the Asian audience are still ahead. We have already received the first photo reports over the network and we are happy to share them with you. The central characters of these photo reports are already waiting for you at stand 135, hall 3B. An unforgettable tour into the world of entertainment and new discoveries is offered by the LASERWAR team to everyone. There is one more little surprise for laser tag admirers at our stand. Besides the devices that are well-known to you – smart control point, explosive device simulator, chameleon universal point – our specialists have brought a new laser tag development with them, which has already created a stir. Smart Battle Base. It hasn’t gone on sale yet. It will be officially introduced to general public only at the coming International Laser Tag Tournament 2018. Dear exhibition visitors, you will have an exceptional opportunity to be the first to see this REAL laser tag BOMB live! Its functional possibilities are incredible. Everything that professional players have ever lacked has been realized in the Smart Battle Base. Besides its numerous advantages, the Base has an amazingly impeccable sound. Again, we are in touch with our colleagues who are in China at the moment. For we cannot wait to hear how the exhibition started and how things are going at the LASERWAR stand. We are sure you have same thoughts in your mind. Therefore, we are happy to share the news with you. We have a ‘full house’ at our stand today! Besides the Chinese visitors, guests from different parts of the world – Australia, Italy, France, Algeria, Austria – came over to our LASERWAR stand. It is rather surprising that there are more European visitors at the exhibition than Asian visitors. The clients are attracted by the fact that our laser tag weapons look very realistic. You bet. Such a commodity is a rare thing here. They require customs approval, alas! Yet indoor laser tag systems are a great alternative to laser tag battles. In this respect, our CYBERTAG brand has no equals, for its price is way lower than that of our foreign equivalents. Company managers note that there are no random people here who have no idea what laser tag is. Everyone who approaches the LASERWAR stand has a purpose. For the local audience is spoiled by the abundance of the laser tag equipment presented at the exhibition. Nevertheless, after they have seen the products by other producers, they still go back to our stand. This is flattering, to say the least. Our indoor equipment is already widely used at playgrounds abroad and it keeps gaining footholds at the international market. Hopefully, a few arenas will be opened in China in the nearest future. Communication with exhibition visitors gives us a unique opportunity to have a better look at the features of the Asian laser tag business and entertainment industry in general, learn about certain subtle points first hand. So well, we hope that our colleagues will cope with the huge influx of visitors and will successfully complete the exhibition marathon. In our turn, we will get ready to fulfil orders and contracts that have been placed and concluded during the event.

So, the biggest festival of entertainment equipment in the world – IAAPA 2018 Asian Attractions Expo in Hong Kong – came to an end. The LASERWAR stand was visited by a few hundred people – businessmen, dealers, individual entrepreneurs, who were in search of new solutions in the field of entertainment industry. On returning from the event, our LASERWAR specialists remarked that there had been no random people at the exhibition who had come only out of curiosity. The clients approached the company stand with a certain purpose. Therefore, our managers did not have to give answers to such questions as: «What is laser tag?», «What are the rules of the game?»... Instead of this, we placed emphasis on the competitive advantages of our product, explain what is attractive about the technical characteristics and the game stuffing, to substantiate the reasons why our pricing policy is so attractive. Well, that wasn’t hard, for LASERWAR professionals are always ready to answer any questions about laser tag. They can hold on a conversation in nearly any language

Many players have taken a fancy to the MP-512 Sniper play set. The lightweight and comfortable rifle has been known to everyone since their childhood – most of us fired from them in pneumatic shooting galleries. And so, a new model has been added to the MP-512 range – MP-512W. In this new piece, the plastic elements of the stock have been replaced by the good old wood. The wooden stock with a superb finish endows the model with the features of a classic rifle. The ‘wooden’ version of MP-512 has only been available in laser biathlon before. The reload button has remained at the same place. As to the activation button, it has been placed under the buttstock. The charger inlet is above the trigger, to the right of it. The rifle comes in two colours – dark wood or light wood. The price of the new model is 374 USD. You can order it at our LASERWAR online store. Happy hunting, snipers!

In 2018, the international laser tag tournament has finally come back to its homeland. Since 2012, we’ve come a long way from Smolensk; we fought on the Alabino tank polygon, polished our tactics and strategy in Mokshino, scraped through the thicket of the Khotkovo game polygon. Throughout all these years, the ‘Maneuvers’ have always been associated with the LASERWAR brand. In 2018, the event was visited by 407 players. Traditionally, the event gathered the participants from different cities and countries. A sports tournament, a scenario game, an obstacle course, a fire show – we wanted every player to take with him a part of the big history that would be remembered forever. The game battles have ended, reviews have been written, and we are eager to share the way that we, the organizers, see how these 3 difficult and intensive days went. PREPARATION At first, though, a few words about the preparation. What is the major factor in organizing an event? That’s right – it’s the place. We looked into lots of options and compiled a whole list of polygons that were suitable for holding a big laser tag game. Then we picked the best option. In 2018, the abandoned military quarters of Gusino village. It wasn’t easy to obtain access to that polygon. Lots of approvals from the Ministry of Defence, letters of notice to the FSB, to the police. We had to come to an arrangement with all these security agencies so as to avoid any problems. We did an excellent job here. The players had a gorgeous polygon with buildings, a forest, good roads, and conveniently located respawns. The work was in full swing after that: drafting the map, frequent trips to the polygon, establishing the camping site, gaining approvals from the local administration, ordering marketing materials -– this is just a fraction of the issues that have to be settled during the process of preparation for the event every year. We kept on working over weekends, too: we answered players’ questions, considered suggestions, published materials in the official group. This year, we aimed to provide as much information on the scenario and game interaction between the devices. For we were preparing a complex scenario game with 3 opposing groups. Therefore, it was important to us that every participant was prepared for the severe confrontation. we are jumping slightly ahead, though. SPORTS TOURNAMENT AND OBSTACLE COURSE 10 June is the official start. On the very first day, the players could sense the atmosphere of the forthcoming event: the uncompromising sports tournament and the obstacle course put everyone’s endurance to a test. The participants towed a car, crawled underneath barbed wire and fought for every centimetre of the game field. In the sports tournament, different age categories, the results were as follows: Group 2 1 place - Alliance 2 place - Yunarmejtsy 25 Group 3 1 place - Spets 2 place - Veggies 3 place – Stk Top Gun Group 4 1 place – Dream Team 2 place – Omega Laserdog 3 place – Alfa Laserdog All the winners were awarded medals, LASERWAR prizes and received acknowledgement of the players who have been participating in laser tag competitions for quite some time. Year after year, we see how the international laser tag tournament has been evolving from a scenario game into something bigger. 2016 was noted by the Hunger Games. In 2017, there was a whole complex of entertainments, including an aerial lift and trampolines. This is just the beginning. we understand that one scenario game is not enough for the players. The international laser tag tournament is a festival to which whole families come, where old friends meet each other and where new acquaintances are made. Next year, we are planning to enhance our entertainment program. The scenario part will remain the central element of the event. Yet besides the big game, there are going to be new enjoyable stages. Changes are going to be introduced to the tournament. Once again, we are concentrating on a sports tournament that has a well-defined set of rules, refereeing, and an area on inflatable figures. Yet next year, we want to revise the format and veer to sports and military elements. We are sure that new laser tag stars will shine on the award pedestal in 2019. SCENARIO GAME AND FIRE SHOW The scenario game of the international laser tag tournament always puts players’ endurance and will to win to a test. This time was not an exception. Hundreds of players carried out tasks, sabotaged, cut the enemy in the rear, guarded their key objects for 14 hours. We need to point out that the scenario was closely linked to the game characters. Laser tag fighters had not only to capture the scenario ‘genetics’, but also to interrogate them and then accompany them to the required destination. What made the scenario game a memorable experience? By the fireworks, play devices, engineers, doctors and the third party that took part in the made-up conflict. With the help of the ‘greens’, we aimed to create the pressure that all the players could feel. The South and the North didn’t have even a second for rest and for lunch. When the hot June weather, the equipment and the difficult tasks are taken into consideration, you will be able to get the picture of the work load every participant of the ‘Maneuvers’ coped with. All the teams fought to the last ditch, all did their best and achieved final results in the combat tasks set for them. The battle resulted in a draw – it corresponds to the principles of the event and the number of points earned. A few words about the night phase of the game. It’s no secret that this is the most dangerous phase of a scenario part. The risk of getting a trauma is very high, especially during intensive game collisions. Therefore, we limited the number of players from the start. According to the plan, respawn locations had to be changed for the night phase, the polygon area decreased, play maneuvers had to be localized under the control of the organizers. As we didn’t get the sufficient number of players, we decided to do without the night phase. Yet to pay due respect to the participants, we decided to hold a small game round the control points. That wasn’t as we had planned, but we realised that we had to consider the wishes of our our laser tag fighters. As a result, the night phase did happen. That wasn’t the main scenario, though, that had been approved initially. We hope we have made it clear on this phase of the game. We want to note separately about the Fire Show. Such mini performances have an overall positive impression from an event. The musical arrangement, the adeptness of actors, and the fascinating flame – can any other laser tag event boast such a delightful bonus? Probably, only the Maneuvers can. PROFITABILITY AND POSITIONING Maneuvers have always been unprofitable events. This is a fact. Our team organizes it not for the sake of money. We have taken on this project and we know what it means to be responsible to the society. We hold this event every year. Our players would have to pay a lot more for the service they receive at our event, which costs them just 500 roubles per day. Besides, there are simply no other events of such a scale on the map of laser tag games. Clearly, it is not only the participation fee that is forms a trip to an MLT. You will have to pay for transportation, petrol, plane/train tickets, return trip. When we talk about the cost of participation, we consider all these. We aim to make sure that you get the cheapest ticket possible. We give discounts, too. We also want all players to understand that our expenses on Maneuvers are not calculated by the formula ‘firewood+water+toilets’. They include salaries to our staff, petrol, business trips, camp arrangement, purchasing any extra essentials, the work of designers and production artists. All these need to be considered when evaluating our expenses. This event does not bring us any profit. We are not trying to blame players for this, there is just something that we know for sure: if we stop organizing MLTs, no one else will ever do it. This is a fact of life. We do a big event and we feel that we are still at the beginning. The Maneuvers must become a major event, which can be attended by families with kids. An event at which one can play laser tag, participate in a tournament, navigate a series of physical obstacles, play volleyball, attend an acoustic concert, sit around a bonfire and find out about new laser tag industry developments. This event is for those who are interested, who are not afraid of difficulties and ready to overcome any obstacles. To avoid ambiguity in interpretations, the name of the event will be changed to ‘International Laser Tag Festival’. No pitfalls. Honest and straightforward. We’ll be waiting for all those who enjoys big games and active recreation. PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR What is most difficult about holding an event of such a level? It is hard to change the location every single time. It is impossible to avoid mistakes at a new place. Cognition comes through work. Different things can influence the way an event is organized: the map, whether the place is familiar or not, whether the teams are equal. To achieve high standard levels, one needs to hold the events at a familiar place for several years in a row. And we have already mentioned earlier that we have found such a place. All the participants have noted the enormous potential of the Gusino polygon and we can assure you: next year, we will realise this potential to the maximum. We have created 47 notes based on your reviews and we have made a project of the event. All your wishes regarding fireworks, the scenario and characters have been taken into consideration. Due attention will be given to delegating responsibilities to the organizers. We understand how many people we need and at which points they will be located. We will simplify the job of explaining tasks to the generals, create videos of special briefings, so that one can watch them several times. Changes will be done to scenario games, where single player and team quests will be introduced: each participant will be able to feel what he has done to help his team win. We are sure that the IFL 2019 will become an annual event as much important and as much anticipated as is MLT 2018. MANEUVERS RESULTS AND CRITICISM THE Maneuvers ended with a final line up, the announcement of results and the final words of the generals of each side. The organizers would like to thank the participants, team captains, generals. It’s nice to see everyone again at the biggest laser tag event for so many years. Thanks to you, guys, MLTs have remained the most spectacular, discussed large-scale event. It is no secret to anyone that all the big battles are the creation of players. A few words on critical notes. Year in and year out, the event is criticized basically by same people. In 90% of cases, these people do not visit the international laser tag tournament. And still, they do write a review. We do not consider the opinions of those who just want to earn likes and blab in social networks. Some people, though, share constructive criticism. And we are grateful to them for noting the things that need improvement. Those players are interested in making MLTs better. All these people follow same rules, and we don't think this to be a coincidence: — Praise publicly – criticize privately; — As you criticize, offer a suggestion; — Criticize strictly to the point. We would like to thank once again all those who really keep their fingers crossed for the future of the event. We will consider all the suggestions and complaints and will fix all the problem areas. Thank you everyone who sees the difference between to show off one’s wit in comments and offer helpful advice. Owing to your help, even more people will gather together for the 2019 May Maneuvers. See you in 2019 with renewed vigour.

We offer the APR 556 model to those lovers of CQB battles, who prefer assault rifles. It has same dimensions as APR 9. Yet this assault rifle uses 5.56 mm cartridges for its standard magazine for the M range, which is its chief difference from the APR 9. Due to the fact that the top of the receiver is made of aluminium, this blaster is 300 g heavier than the previous model. The fire mode selector, used for activating the tager, is double-sided. The barrel is 30 mm longer than that of the SMG. The speaker and the electronics are integrated in the magazine, which was specially developed by LASERWAR engineers for M range rifles integration. shaped out of highly durable impact resistant thermoplastic using specially designed moulds, this magazine has internal elements for attaching electronic parts. This guarantees that the electronic components will stay securely fitted in their place and will survive any possible shaking and hits. The price of the APR 556 play set will be 27000 roubles at our LASERWAR online store.
